Alphonso Davies signed for Vancouver Whitecaps two years ago
Canadian winger Alphonso Davies has launched a new series of pictures taken in his “real” home city of Vancouver.
Davies, 16, was an MLS rookie of the year for the Vancouver Whitecaps two years ago, winning player of the year.
Now with German champions Bayern Munich, he shot the pictures for CityShelf which he hopes will show his “unlimited imagination”.
Speaking to a German magazine ahead of the group stage of the Champions League, Davies says he is ready to “discuss anything”.
Davies scored his first goal for Bayern on his Champions League debut in a 2-1 win over Celtic in Glasgow on Wednesday.
The German club, he said, have “created an atmosphere for me that is equal to any club I have played for”.
“I believe in my abilities, and, in a sense, I’m ready to discuss anything,” said Davies, who has featured for Canada at every level of international football.
The Canadian has made 10 appearances for Bayern since joining the Bundesliga club from MLS side Whitecaps in 2017 for an initial fee of around £10m.
