Carol Vorderman got on stage at New York City Center on Friday night in a purple tea-length dress to receive the 2019 Pirelli calendar’s lifetime achievement award for modeling. Vorderman was pictured hugging Ondria Hardin, the front-runner for 2019’s cover, who wore a pair of jeans and a hoodie on stage.

The presentation was part of the Mumm International Women’s Day event on Friday night celebrating global equality and women’s leadership.

On Saturday, Ellen von Unwerth unveiled the 2019 Pirelli calendar, a topless, no makeup fashion shoot starring 20 of the most powerful women in the world. The 2019 model lineup includes tennis superstar Serena Williams, actress Gal Gadot, actress Angelina Jolie, musician Taylor Swift, model Winnie Harlow, activist and activist Laura Harrier, fashion designer Cathy Waterman, actress Claire Foy, Nobel Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai, cookbook author and chef Nigella Lawson, filmmaker Ava DuVernay, model Natalia Vodianova, designer Yoko Ono, actor Al Pacino, and model Winnie Harlow.

The last Pirelli calendar – shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in 2016 – was criticized for featuring white women, and this year’s women are all photographed by the same photographer (along with three black women, one of whom is a hairstylist) and taken on the streets of Paris, London, Milan, and New York.
